Jesca Jones Memorial Quilt Show

May 8-9, 2009

It was a dreary, rainy Wednesday morning.  Members of the Country Patches Quilt Guild scrambled to get quilts from their cars to the Gladewater Historical Museum for a quilt show to memorialize a cherished friend and fellow quilter, Jesca Jones.  Spirits were high, however, as soon beautiful creations began to grace the walls (and anyplace else we could find) of the museum.  Before we knew it the museum was a kaleidoscope of colors and shapes to brighten up even the most dreary of days.

Friday brought much better weather but the show did not get a lot of visitors.  Those who came got a real treat and were amazed at the collection.  If you missed the show, click here for pictures.

A big "thank you" goes out the the people who helped plan, set up and take down, and sat at the show.  Without you there would be no show!!
